Ross, has over 23 years experience in the manufacture, installation and design of commercial roller shutter doors. He has previously owned two successful companies, Roller Door Servicing (sold in 2000) and RDS (incorporated into High Speed Doors).

In March 2004, Ross employed Chris Arps and Daniel Hasson to assist in the establishment and design of a new roller shutter door for High Speed Doors (NZ) Ltd. After purchasing the only South Island Slat roll forming machine, Ross then went into production manufacturing his own product, which is now sold to major construction and roller door companies throughout New Zealand.

Ross then made it his primary objective to find an alternative product to deal with maintenance issues arising out of high cycle Roller Shutter Doors. After attending a Trade show exhibiting the Efaflex range of products, he travelled to Germany and met with the Directors who confirmed that the Efaflex doors with their patented spiral can cope with over 250,000 cycles per year without preventative maintenance. Ross states that “Our clients continue to choose us because they can rely on a fast and reliable service whilst ensuring quality standards are met.

Chris Arps

Technical Production Manager

In 1979, Chris, who we like to call our “bundle of knowledge”, first commenced in the industrial door industry manufacturing Bi-Fold Doors, Series 1000 Single Leaf Doors as well as domestic roller doors.

He also proudly boasts manufacturing and installing the largest Bi-Fold Doors in Australasia, (22.00mw x 7.00mh) which are still working today.

During his career, Chris became involved in a number of complex installation projects requiring customized products, so he put his own concepts onto paper and has successfully designed solutions to meet customer needs. The most recent creation is High Speed Doors’ Security Wind bar for door openings 7.000mw and over.

Chris also manufactures and installs sliding mullions, which provide clear openings of up to 15.5mw.

Mark Searle

Mark Searle is IQP registered and has 10 years knowledge and experience working in the industrial and commercial door industry selling roller shutters, sectional and aluminium roller grilles to retail fitouts and specialist door companies.
