Unique door systems deserve a unique safety system. The door-line safety photocell grid system developed by EFAFLEX displays the most up to date development when it comes to safety technology. For the first time an infrared light grid covering nearly the entire surface area of the door is installed directly in the door closing line-permitting contact free “recognition” of obstacles. The circuit design is self-monitoring so that customary safety systems can be eliminated in the door closing line.

The TÜV-certified door-line safety photocell grid improves both active as well as passive safety in danger zones of high speed door systems. The door photocell grid acts opto-electrically up to a height of 2.5 metres and is not affected by climatic conditions or accidental damage, the units being installed in the two side frames. In this way, it clearly offers longer service life than a contact bar connected to the bottom bar of the door blade.

Moreover a power supply to the door leaf safety edge system is no longer necessary. Even drawbars on vehicles with trailers can now be detected easily. Formerly this was only possible with a system of complex intersecting light barriers. The door-line safety photocell grid offers substantially greater safety for persons, vehicular traffic and the door itself.
