EFAFLEX spiral
doors offer outstanding performance with proven
reliability, maximum availability, excellent service
life, a minimum of maintenance costs and exemplary
quiet door action and all this proven in constant
industrial use of 150,000 operations plus per
year.
Laths made of double-walled and,
if desired, thermally separated aluminium can
be combined with transparent window laths as required.
The laths are passed through the space-saving
spiral in such a way that they do not come into
contact with each other – this means that
the exterior of the door leaf will remain in its
original state for many years. The power flows
via hinge strips arranged on both sides of the
door and are connected with each other via a synchronised
shaft. The laths are separately connected to the
hinge strip with screws, a rubber seal section
connects the laths with each other and provides
wind and weather resistance. This makes the quick
and easy replacement of laths possible should
it prove necessary.

The door blade
is almost completely smooth, in particular on
its exterior surface. Moving parts have been optimally
clad. High-speed motors are controlled by frequency
converters and microprocessor control units. If
the power supply should fail, the door can be
quite easily operated by a hand lever. A tension
spring mechanism raises the door. For installation
situations where space is at a premium, a special
low clearance variant is available that is also
often used for the entrances and exits of multi-storey
car parks.
